Sweetee Thai Cypress Review

Lunch time! We headed on over to Sweetee Thai a quaint thai restaurant! The place had your typical asian decor, and a friendly welcome. We ordered the Green Tea and for an app., we got the "Golden Nugget" a fried dumpling sort of dish. The green tea wasn't very strong but did come in a larger sized teapot probably weighing in about 50 pounds! It added a cool vibe to the table! We received soup with our dishes and it was quite good! The broth wasn't salty like normal soups are and the little dumplings in the soup were fantastic! My mom ordered the California Curry and I the Pad Thai, My mom's Curry smelled so good so I had to try it! Best curry ever! Unfortunately, my pad thai was not so good, so I sent it back to get some of that Delicious curry! One thing about the curry is that it was spicy and having a full glass of water at all times would be a good tip. In conclusion, the food was really good! I just wouldn't suggest the Pad Thai!

Lazy Dog Cafe Irvine Review

This place is so cool! You can bring your dogs to the restaurant and eat with them on the patio! The staff is really friendly is this place is almost always crowded! My mom ordered the Jamaican Lemonade for a drink, it was very lime-y and very sweet but actually did taste pretty good, so if you long for tropical flavors, this is the drink for you! For our meal I ordered the beer battered Fish n' chips, my dad got the Baja burger, my mom got the garden salad and cheese pizza combo. My mom received her salad and for as boring a garden salad sounds it was pretty good! Their croutons are so perfectly garlic-y! Then on to the real deal, My fish and chips were so good! The dipping sauce went perfect with the beer battered cod (and occasionally dipping the fries in it). My dad hardly said a word while quickly consuming his Baja burger, until after when he said his burger was pretty darn good! The cheese pizza looked amazing! The crust was so thin and crunchy! My mom said this was the best pizza ever! So next time your by the Tustin Marketplace looking for some good grub, I would definitely recommend Lazy Dog Cafe!

Cucina Review

This past week my family and I decided to head on over to Cucina, a California inspired Italian restaurant. I was there with some friends of mine so I was a little late for the appetizer, but they ordered the stuffed fried squash blossoms. I got a small taste of it but from my experience they were really good! The aioli was so good! Ok before I get into the main course, I want to let you know that our waiter has not been waiting long was sort of nervous about waiting on us! Anyways, I ordered the board with a side of truffle fries! My mom ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza. We received our food and the waiter dud not give me the cheese I asked for on my board, which was kind of ok because I really liked the cheese that I did get! The board was filled with probably a bagillion different little things like mushrooms, olives, mustard, and then things that were not recognizable! I did not think our waiter had full knowledge of the board so I didn't bother to ask. I ate my truffle fries, which never seem to fail me. My mom's pizza was insanely sweet which our waiter tried to explain on how the region of Italy these tomatoes came from grew sweeter tomatoes, but if this was true the Italian tomato is the new stevia! In other words, our experience was somewhat interesting. I would love to come back for some lunch and see if its any different but for now Cucina would not be my first option for dinner at the spectrum. Cucina Romana on Urbanspoon

Paul Martins Review

Let me start off with... THIS PLACE ROCKS! My dad and I went there Monday night, we decided to go after hearing about how good this place was from some of our friends. Our waitress was an adorable and sweet girl from Montana! She previously worked at Starbucks and made me a pretty darn good cappuccino! My dad and I both ordered the warm bacon and spinach salad, I got a side of mashed potatoes (more like a mountain!) and my dad got a "side" of  calamari! It was all so good! Perfectly cooked, and nicely seasoned! I would defiantly recommend this place to friends and family! I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu!

P.S. It is a little pricey but TOTALLY worth it!:)

Lulu's Creperie Cafe Review

I'm not a huge fan of French food, but when a couple from our church invited us to lunch I thought I would give it a shot. Its located in a quaint little shopping centre in Laguna Hills, its not a big restaurant but a perfect size for a Sunday afternoon lunch shift. We sat down and I ordered the coffee my mom did as well, and my dad ordered a cappuccino. When we got our coffee my mug still had some fuchsia lipstick on it:/... I showed the cute little french waitress my problem and she quickly got me a new glass. Now sort of sceptic about the place I took a sip of my dad's cappuccino, it was AWESOME! Me and my dad ordered "la Mission" and my mom got the "morning glory". We received our Crepes and took our bites... THE CREPES WERE AMAZING! They were perfectly cooked and the sauces that went along side them went perfectly with the dish. I was so excited and I ate the whole thing probably in record time. It was so good!! I really enjoyed this place, even though me and lulu's got off to a rough start, the food totally made up for it and I can't wait to go there soon!

Brü Grill and Market Review

"Where do you want to eat?" asked my father last night. "How about Bru?" So I went on Urbanspoon to read reviews and make our reservation. The reviews were positive and the prices were reasonable, so I made our reservation for 5:45 (6-7 being booked). As we walked in, you're pleasantly greeted by a kind host who of course asks you the norm. I told him we had a reservation and he told us about 5 min. While you wait, you can walk through this awesome little boutique full of wines, beer, cheeses, and other neat stuff able to purchase in the future. He called our name and he guided us to our table. We sat down and I admired the modern-rustic decor they were sporting. It was quite loud which wasn't a big surprise since the bar and the dining area were right next to each other. We browsed the menu and ordered the Something Cured (A salami board with olives, pecans, and apple chutney) and the Bru Cru (Pretzel Bread with a Brie and Mustard dipping Sauce). They were both pretty good and I couldn't wait to order! I ordered the Diver Sea Scallops, My father ordered the Petite Filet and My mom ordered the short ribs. We got our food and dug in. I really liked my Scallops, they were cooked perfectly and had an awesome lobster sauce to go with it but did contain a lot of salt. My mom's short ribs which were moist, but kind of bland but it also came with a bread pudding which was extremely Dry! So she gave hers a C. My dad's Filet was well... bland... there was no seasoning at all on it, no salt, no pepper, nothing but it did come with a wine reduction sauce which lacked flavor. The head chef saw us looking over our food and asked us whats wrong. We told him that the Filet was flavorless and he gave us more flavorless wine reduction. So then we ordered our dessert, which was a Chocolate Toffee Cake. We received our final course and again to our disappointment was not moist at all. So over all it wasn't a good experience, especially since the total cost for 3 people was $145 plus tip.  It is a new restaurant and I think they are going through MAJOR opening pains which hopefully will be worked out soon. I am excited to see any changes they will make in this coming year and I'm curious to go back and see how it all turns out!
